Customers, Business Partners, and Friends:

Effective Friday, March 27, Z-Man Fishing Products will temporarily close operations at our Ladson, SC facilityduetotheCOVID-19pandemic. This pandemic has undoubtedly created a unique set of challenges for the fishing industry and small businesses like Z-Man. We are forced to balance competing interests ofthe safety of our employees, public health, the health of our business, and our customers’ needs as wenever have before.

We have reached this decision because the health and safety of our employees is our paramount concern, and we feel that limiting human-to-human interaction inherent to operating a manufacturing plant and warehouse is the safest course of action at this point in time. Even though we have enacted and enforced strict social distancing, hand-washing, and cleaning protocols over the last two weeks, the soundest decision at this point is to minimize interactions even further given what we know about how easily this coronavirus can spread.

Moreover, from a public health standpoint, we at Z-Man want to act in a socially responsible manner and proactively do our part in minimizing the spread of COVID-19. By strongly encouraging our employees tostay at home, we can effectively help ‘flatten the curve’ and help prevent healthcare resources frombecoming overwhelmed. Here in South Carolina, we are still at a point where our decisions can impact the future course of this pandemic, so we must act decisively.

Protecting the interests of our customers and other business partners is extremely important to us as well, and please know that we do not take this decision lightly. We certainly would like to maintain current operations so we can continue to serve you but feel strongly that the safety of our employees and public health concerns warrant this very difficult decision.

During the closure period, our office staff will be working remotely, and we will be in close communication and coordination with our customers and business partners to ensure that your needs are met immediately upon reopening. We greatly value our business relationships and are committed to working together to grow your business and ours.

Thank you for your understanding and support during this challenging time. We look forward to resuming normal operations and will remain in close contact as this situation continues to evolve.
