FTR’s Retail Associate Of The Year

We here at Fishing Tackle Retailer have been throwing around a few ideas on how to get retailers more involved and put a spotlight on some of the unsung heroes of the retail space. If retailers are the driving force behind the fishing tackle industry, then those of you on the front line, the ones who interact on a daily basis with the consumers, are its lifeblood. It’s about time you got your opportunity to shine!
To this end, we are looking to put a spotlight on those retail associates who go above and beyond the daily grind, the individuals for without whom it could be argued that things would come to a standstill (or in the very least would certainly not run as smoothly!) They are the ones who always take that extra step to serve the consumer and make it their responsibility to ensure that no customer leaves dissatisfied. They eat, sleep and breathe everything fishing, and their smiling face has become synonymous with the great service to be had at your retail store. Further, without them the local fishing community would not be as robust, and most certainly they increase the profitability of their place of employment.
Beginning today, we’re looking for some nominations for what we’re going to be referring to as FTR’s Retail Associate of the Year. Once the submissions start rolling in, we’ll begin spotlighting them in upcoming editions of Fishing Tackle Retailer culminating in the selection of the top retail associate for the year as voted on by a panel of industry representatives. The retail shop will obviously receive some press, but it’s the associate who will really reap the rewards as we will not only put them on a pedestal in print and online, but we are also putting together an awesome prize package for the winner which will include a trip to ICAST in Orlando, Florida. We’ll also do an expanded profile of the winner in Fishing Tackle Retailer along with the final announcement.
Now it’s your time to help out, to nominate that amazing employee you have on your staff, the one you wish you could clone and hire six times over. Maybe they’re a coworker of yours, the person who mentored you when you were first hired and who showed you the ropes. So, whether you work alongside them, they’re a key member of your staff, or an employee at one of your accounts, now is your opportunity to show them how important they are to you.
