Yamaha Marine Group announced the appointment of Heidi Weber as communications coordinator for the marine marketing department.

In her new role, Weber will support manager of dealer education and communications Martin Peters. Her responsibilities will include the writing and coordination of internal and external communications for the Yamaha Marine Group. She also will support the development of Yamaha Marine University training materials.

“We are so pleased to welcome Heidi to our marketing team,” Peters said in a statement. “Her strong writing and editing skills will help enhance our overall communications, and her experience in educational marketing will add value to our dealer education programs.”

Weber brings more than a decade of public relations and marketing experience to Yamaha. Prior to her new position she held marketing and communications positions with national and global companies, including the Institute for Reading Development, Porsche Cars North America and MCI Business Marketing.

Weber graduated from Stetson University with a bachelor’s degree in English and German.
