NFHP Releases 2024 Accomplishments Infographic
The National Fish Habitat Partnership (NFHP) recently released their 2024 Accomplishments Infographic highlighting the success of the program in improving habitat and recreational fishing opportunities. In 2024, NFHP funded 91 projects with $5.9 million. Partners provided an additional $21.5 million in matching funds. Click below to view the full Infographic.
FWC Rolls Out EFP Programs that Provide Additional Red Snapper Harvest Opportunities
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) has developed three separate Extended Fishing Permits to test new, innovative ideas outside of the confines of normal federal fisheries management for red snapper. ASA Joins Alaska Congressional Delegation at Kenai Classic Roundtable on Sportfishing Policy
On August 21, ASA Pacific Fisheries Policy Director, Larry Phillips, will join Senators Dan Sullivan and Lisa Murkowski, as well as Rep. Mary Peltola, at the Kenai Classic Roundtable in Soldotna, AK. Hosted by the Kenai River Sportfishing Association (KRSA), the discussion will center around marine debris, endangered species listing for chinook salmon, and the Marine Mammal Protection Act.
