State College, PA — The agreement will support both our National USA Surf Fishing Team as it competes internationally, and the efforts to make fishing an Olympic sport.

The 2024 Pan American Surf Fishing Championships (the 4th) will be held in Costa Rica on Jalova Beach with anglers staying at nearby Parismina Tarpon Lodge. It is sanctioned by the Pan American Sportfishing Federation and hosted by the Pescadores Deportivos Federacion de Costa Rica.
Anglers will have an opportunity to target several species of game fish including Tarpon, Snapper, Jacks and Snook, using exclusively artificial lures – including Fishbites – to catch specific species on a catch-and-release points system.
