Ugly Stik Bigwater Set to Debut in ICAST New Product Showcase

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Ugly Stik® Bigwater rods and combos are as durable and as trusting as a favorite pair of work boots. This year, Ugly Stik is giving the iconic series quite a few upgrades that every Bigwater angler will appreciate. The Bigwater will be shown in the ICAST New Product Showcase in July.

Beginning with Ugly Tech™ construction, the Bigwater series maintains the toughness for which all Ugly Stiks are known. One-piece Ugly Tuff™ stainless steel guides eliminate insert pop-outs and provide additional durability and corrosion resistance for those harsh saltwater applications.

The updated Bigwater series retains the traditional Ugly Stik Clear Tip™ design for more strength at the tip of the rod. Comfortable EVA handles and conventional reel seats give anglers a non-slip, comfortable grip no matter the conditions. The fly, standup, downrigger/dipsy diver, surf, spinning and casting models have also been upgraded to include a standard seven-year limited warranty.

Four Bigwater spinning combos and two trolling combos for downrigger applications are also available. The combos feature a graphite spinning reel, available in sizes 50, 60 and 70, and have a durable aluminum spool. The reel featured on the Bigwater downrigger combos is a size 30 line counter round reel with a metal handle and power knob.

With an MSRP of $59.95 to $89.95 for rods, $69.95 to $89.95 for combos, and $179.95 for boat rods, the Ugly Stik Bigwater series has all the upgrades that anglers need for their next big water adventure.
