KastKing Royale Legend II Ice Fishing Reels are a size 500, 5.8 ounce spinning reel that were designed specifically for ice fishing. They feature an outdoors-ready, durable, non-rusting reinforced graphite body and rotor, anodized aluminum spool, and an interesting extended reel foot stem for more distance between the reel seat and reel body for easier cranking with heavy ice fishing gloves and to avoid hitting the rotor, and a supper smooth 3 disc drag for light ice fishing lines.
KastKing Royale Legend II Ice spinning reels come with exceptional 5+1 shielded steel ball bearings combined with precision cut zinc alloy main gears and manganese brass pinion gears for a smooth cranking feel plus reduced wear for long gear life. A 5.1:1 gear ratio and 22 IPT of the ample CNC machined graphite handle that works with gloves on that was designed to make ice fishing trips more enjoyable.
Its anodized aluminum spool holds ample fishing line for ice fishing. Mono – 4lb/75yds, 6lb/65yds, 8lb/50yds, KastKing KastPro braided fishing line 10lb/120yds, 15lb/75yds 20lb/65yds.
Another interesting feature is the array of colors. Royale Legend II ice spinning reels have a super slick high gloss finish that sheds water and reduces icing. KastKing says the three ultra-bright colors will stand out even in the darkest ice hut. They suggest getting all three brilliant colors and pair them with different ice fishing rods and use a different fishing line and bait combo on each one to makes it easy to know what ice fishing combo is catching fish.
