New fishing product will be featured on Shark Tank this Friday.

17 year old Jack Danos and his father Jeff, will be featured on ABC’s “Shark Tank” this Friday September 30 at 8:00 PM CST. The father-son team invented an electronic fish attractor called the TactiBite Fish Call. In a very short period of time, this new product has gained quite a bit of attention with a very successful KickStarter campaign, and now an appearance on Shark Tank.  The product is available for sale from their website,, Amazon, and also at select retail outlets.

The TactiBite Fish Call works by emitting sounds and vibrations that attract nearby fish.  It’s about the size of a mini football and floats on the surface.  It is held in place by an anchor that has a nifty way of clipping into the base of the unit for easy storage.  To make the unit versatile across many fish species as well as varying conditions, it has multiple sounds and volume controls.  Fishermen use it by selecting the appropriate sound for the type of fish targeted and adjusting the volume level based on the conditions and environment they’re fishing in.

According to their website,, the device attracts many types of predator fish in both fresh and salt water.  These include Red Fish, Trout, Bass, Drum, Crappie, Flounder, Striped Bass, Catfish, Snook, Yellowtail, SheepsHead, Calico Bass, Blue Gill and many others.  There are also several video of the product in action, as well as instructional videos on their website.

It will be interesting to see how young Jack handles the fierce questioning and potential ridicules that the 5 sharks will certainly dish out.  If you’ve watched any of the past episodes, you know that the sharks can be ruthless if any holes are found in a presenter’s business model or plan.
