Mustang Survival Joins Inshore Fishing Association

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. (January 29, 2014) – Mustang Survival, a leading manufacturer of marine safety and extreme climate protection products, has joined the Inshore Fishing Association (IFA) as official sponsor for the 2014 season. In addition to being a sponsor of the IFA Redfish and Kayak Tours, Mustang Survival will also sponsor the new Lucas Oil IFA Pro-Am Redfish Challenge series presented by Cabela’s.

“Mustang Survival is a great partner for us and such a strong addition to our group of sponsors,” said IFA Marketing Director Bart Schad. “Safety is the number one priority for the IFA and Mustang is the clear industry leader, especially when it comes to products designed specifically for anglers. They’re lightweight, easy to wear and exceptionally well made. We’re excited to have them on board and look forward to working together.”

Established in 1967, Mustang Survival has been designing and manufacturing lifesaving solutions for more than 45 years. Through constant innovation and application of new technologies, Mustang Survival is the leading supplier of quality flotation and personal protective equipment to the most demanding maritime and aviation customers including the Coast Guard, law enforcement, water rescue teams, fighter pilots, commercial mariners and recreational boaters.

“With more than 30 million anglers nationwide, the IFA Redfish and Kayak Tours provide a great platform to interact with a key audience for us,” said Shannon Ward, director of business development and marketing at Mustang Survival. “Feedback from anglers, especially those who use our products daily, is integral to driving our product development and improving our line of safety solutions. We think this is a great fit for Mustang Survival and look forward to the 2014 season.”

Drawing inshore anglers from Texas to the Carolinas and beyond, the IFA Redfish Tour is the largest and oldest redfish tour in the nation. Offering anglers the opportunity to compete in low-entry fee events, redfish anglers can fish close to home, minimize expenses and compete for lucrative winnings and contingency prizes. The Lucas Oil IFA Pro-Am Redfish Challenge series is being billed as the ultimate redfish showdown, featuring the sport’s best anglers in a high stakes, made-for-TV competition.

The IFA Kayak Fishing Tour presented by Hobie Fishing is the fastest-growing kayak fishing tournament trail in the county. Kayak anglers competing in the catch-photograph-release tournaments can take advantage of the numerous money and product prizes awarded to competitors.
