Hillsboro, OR – Maxima’s on the move! Literally! Maxima has changed its name from Maxima American to Maxima U.S.A. and has moved its distribution from Irvine, California to Hillsboro, Oregon under new U.S. owner, Tim Schoonover. Schoonover, a longtime industry veteran started his career selling fly tying materials in the early 80’s, followed by a two and a half decade stint as Maxima’s product representative in the northwest. Tim’s an avid sports angler and outdoorsman having fished and traveled around the world.
Schoonover commented, “We’re building on the groundwork and strides Maxima has already made in the United States. Maxima is exceptional line and we’re working hard to expand into a number of targeted markets. We’ve signed an agreement with B.A.S.S. Pro Ish Monroe who’s using our new Braid 8 and fluorocarbon along with other Maxima lines. That should accelerate our rise in bass fishing markets nationally. Ish’s season is off to a great start which enhances Maxima’s visibility.”
“Saltwater has long been an important stronghold for Maxima. Both the Fluorocarbon and Ultragreen brands of Maxima have broad-based acceptance among saltwater anglers. We’re continuing that effort by focusing on key markets in the southeast, gulf, Texas and Southern California.”
“Thanks to Maxima the transition in moving operations from Southern California to Oregon has been seamless. We’re committed to maintaining adequate inventories so our fill rate stays near 100% and our turnaround times on all orders are same day or a couple of days at most.”
Braid 8 is Maxima’s newest addition to their broad offering of fishing lines. Maxima Braid 8 is made from a proprietary fiber and is produced using round construction braiding that’s essential to casting effectiveness. Braid 8 is pre-stretched and heat fixed to optimize strength and sensitivity and also features a new triple coating treatment which helps with abrasions and further benefits casting.
Maxima U.S.A. has launched a new website, www.maximafishingline.com.
