Great Lakes Finesse Adds 3.25-Inch Dropkick Shad

The objective was simple when Great Lakes Finesse developed the Dropkick Shad: to create the perfect finesse swimbait, with tail action that was neither too tight nor unnaturally wide, and durability to contend with big, ornery smallmouth bass.
FTR Industry Brief

The Great Lakes Finesse 3.25-Inch Dropkick Shad is a new soft plastic swimbait added to the company's Dropkick Shad lineup. This compact shad profile bait offers retailers another size option in a versatile finesse presentation that appeals to anglers targeting bass and other freshwater species. The addition expands Great Lakes Finesse's product range to meet demand for downsized swimbait presentations.

The original GLF 2.75-inch Dropkick Shad solved these issues, with optimal tail action for triggering strikes and incredible toughness, and the same is true about the new 3.25-inch version. The original was ideal for fishing on a drop shot, a ball head jig or a Sneaky Underspin. The larger version opens options, including fishing the Dropkick Shad on a swimbait head or an umbrella rig. It also excels as a spinnerbait or bladed jig trailer.

With either size, even the slowest forward motion engages the action, and true neutral buoyancy keeps the bait horizontal, like a real baitfish. The Dropkick Shad’s natural baitfish shape is just thick enough to suggest a worthwhile meal to big bass while maintaining necessary finesse. 3D Live Eyes and a natural matte finish elevate realism.

The 2.75-inch and 3.25-inch Dropkick Shad are available in 16 colors that include four new colors: Pro Blue Red Pearl, Perch, AYU and Iridescent.

MSRP: 6.99
