DAYTONA BEACH, Florida— As fall hunting and fishing season kicks off, Costa announces the addition of its new frame color, Realtree® Xtra® camo, to select sunglass styles, hats and other gear. While the camo pattern blends perfectly year round in a wide variety of habitats, it blends best from the leaf change of fall through winter, then again in early spring before green-out.
The Realtree Xtra camo pattern was created through a patented printing technology, featuring lifelike depth and unmatched realism, with subtle shadows, intricate textures and just the right amount of contrast. The pattern creates a 3-D effect with natural elements like tree trunks, large and small limbs, and warm, natural colors.
Costa offers the Realtree Xtra camo pattern in several of its most popular premium performance sunglasses, including Blackfin, Fantail, Fisch, Hamlin and Zane. These styles are constructed from nearly indestructible co-injected molded nylon material, and offer a large wrap shape to protect from incoming backlight glare.
Other features include proprietary hypoallergenic Hydrolite™ interior lining and temple tips to prevent slippage, frame vents to alleviate lens fogging (Fisch and Zane) and sturdy integral hinge technology. The Realtree Xtra styles showcase Costa’s “C” logo in bright hunter orange.
All Costa sunglasses can be customized in its full array of patented color enhancing polarized 580™ lenses. Costa’s 580 lens technology selectively filters out harsh yellow and harmful high-energy ultraviolet blue light. Filtering yellow light enhances reds, blues and greens, and produces better contrast and definition while reducing glare and eye fatigue. Absorbing high-energy blue light cuts haze, producing greater visual clarity and sharpness.
Costa’s 580™ lenses, the clearest lenses on the planet, are available in either glass or impact resistant polycarbonate. Lens color options include: gray, copper, amber, sunrise, blue mirror, green mirror and silver mirror.
“Our sunglasses are meant to serve as an integral piece of gear in your hunting and fishing arsenal,” said Chas MacDonald, president of Costa sunglasses. “Every element – from the 580 lens technology, to the durability and comfort fit of the frames, to the authenticity of the Realtree camo patterns – is meant to help you see more clearly in the stand or the blind, and blend more effectively into your outdoor surroundings.”
Costa’s sunglasses featuring the Realtree Xtra camo pattern start in retail at $179, and are available at authorized Costa retail partners, and online at www.costadelmar.com.
