Big Rock Sports Launches Conservation Foundation

Graham, NC—Officials at Big Rock Sports announced the launch of the Big Rock Sports Conservation Foundation. The 501(C)(3) non-profit foundation will support the fight to protect the outdoors and the outdoor sporting goods industry, while encouraging participation in outdoor sporting activities.

Over the years, distributors, retailers, manufacturers and consumers have independently supported various outdoor advocacy efforts. By creating the Conservation Foundation, Big Rock Sports can enable these groups to work together and collectively make a difference. The non-profit foundation will allow Big Rock Sports to combine their resources with those of their customers, employees and vendor partners for a much greater impact.

“I think the Big Rock Sports Conservation Foundation will be exciting to everyone in this industry. You should embrace anything that helps get more people involved and creates opportunities for people to get out there and go fishing and go hunting,” said Dave Kranz, owner of Dave’s Bait, Tackle & Taxidermy in Crystal Lake, IL. “I definitely commend Big Rock Sports for doing this. I hope all the retailers across the country participate and are willing to get involved with it and try to help our industry.”

The Big Rock Sports Conservation Foundation will be managed by an independent board who will ensure that contributions go to causes that make the biggest impact, such as events that encourage participation in hunting and fishing, community events for youth and organizations that serve the outdoor industry.

Big Rock Sports is making it easy for their customers to donate to the Conservation Foundation by allowing them to round up their orders to the nearest dollar or add a fixed amount to their order at the time of checkout.
