Kentucky Senate Bill 3 Defeated

A bill that posed serious risk to fish and wildlife management in Kentucky was defeated by a coalition of conservation and outdoor recreation groups, including ASA.

If passed, Kentucky SB 3 would have attached its Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources to the Department of Agriculture, allowing the Commissioner of Agriculture to fill Fish and Wildlife Commission seats and potentially diminishing the voices of the anglers, hunters and sportsmen that fund the management of Kentucky’s fish and wildlife.

A big thank you to ASA’s Keep America Fishing Supporters in Kentucky and to the conservation-minded anglers across the state who contributed to this success.
