Weber Takes on Senior Marketing Role for Shimano

LADSON, S.C.— Bringing more than 15 years of consumer package goods marketing experience, including stints with leading fishing brands, Grayce Weber has joined Shimano as senior marketing manager, announces Steve Ferrara, Shimano North America Fishing, Inc. senior vice president. Weber will be based out of Shimano’s operations in Ladson, S.C.


In this new position, Weber will lead the marketing staff in efforts for all brands and products, including Shimano rods, reels, lures and lifestyle gear, G. Loomis rods, PowerPro braided line and Jackall lures. She’s responsible for directing all aspects of the marketing strategy and communications for all the brands, including print and digital advertising, collateral, public and media relations, social media, sponsorships and event activation.

“Grayce brings a needed talent to Shimano’s senior fishing operations staff, where both her background in the recreational fishing industry and her passion for the sport can further drive our tackle division,” Ferrara said. “Her experience with media and licensed goods companies, and recent efforts especially with fishing line and lure brands brings a sought-after skill set to Shimano.”

Weber is a graduate of The Ohio State University. She enjoys both fresh and saltwater fishing opportunities, especially fishing for tarpon at night.
