Minnetonka, Minnesota – And when anglers need to lock in and use the best of the best, they turn to the VMC RedLine Series for hooks and jigs.
Inspired, designed and engineered with the help of Rapala’s top bass fishing pros, Redline Series hooks and jigs are made for the highest level of tournament action.
Just take it from Dustin Connell, who won his third RedCrest Championship by an incredible margin using only Tungsten Redline jigs – the B.E.T DropShot Weight and the Swimbait Jighead, to be exact. The kicker is – he didn’t lose a single fish the whole time.
“I didn’t lose any fish the whole tournament,” said Connell. “Not a single bass. It was an 8-pound win, but if I’d lost two of those good fish, I wouldn’t have won. With the little 1/0 hook in the jig head, you’d expect to lose a few, but I never did. That was the difference maker. Those hooks are so sharp that I’m sometimes afraid to take them out of the fish’s mouth.”
Introduced in 2023, VMC continues to expand the RedLine Series to anticipate every possible tournament situation. New additions to the RedLine Series include:
Redline Series Tungsten Ned Head Jig – Previously only available in a 1/0 hook, the Ned Head Jig is now also available in hook size 2/0. Designed for bass anglers, the RedLine Series Tungsten Ned Head Jig provides one of the best returns on forward-facing sonar. Engineered for anglers who rely upon soft plastics, the lightweight conical bait keeper is located at the optimal spot on the hook shank to allow a soft plastic bait to collapse around it, holding them in place, while not throwing the presentation off balance when retrieved.

The lead-free weight has the weight sizes laser etched on the heads for quick reference and will not come off with use. The jighead is painted in a matte black. The hook has a needle point for super-fast penetration and has a P.T.F.E. coating to reduce friction at the point of the bite.
The jig features a 1X strong, forged hybrid wider gap to maximize hook sets and a hybrid bend for extra strength. Made with Vanadium steel, the hook features a needle point and P.T.F.E. coating for deeper penetration.
The RedLine Series Tungsten Ned Head Jig is lead-free. It comes in four sizes, 1/8 oz., 3/16 oz., ¼ oz., and 3/8 oz. It has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of US $6.99 to $11.99. It is sold two per pack.
Redline Series Tungsten Swimbait Jig – This jig, while previously only offered in hook sizes 1/0 and 3/0, is now available in 2/0, the perfect hook size for a CrushCity Mooch Minnow. It features a round-ball head, which provides the best return on forward-facing sonar. It has been engineered with a lightweight conical bait keeper located at an optimal spot on the shank of the VMC 1X strong, forged round bend Vanadium Steel hook to allow soft plastics to collapse around it, holding them in place, while not throwing the presentation off-balance.

The lead-free weight has the weight sizes laser etched on the heads for quick reference and will not come off with use. The jighead is painted in a matte grey. The hook has a needle point for super-fast penetration and has a P.T.F.E. coating to reduce friction at the point of the bite.
This jig comes in six weights with a 1/0 hook (1/8 oz. to ¾ oz.) and six weight sizes in a 3/0 (1/8 oz. to ¾ oz.) hook. Sold two per pack, the VMC RedLine Series Tungsten Swimbait Jig has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $X.
