Think in Multiples

When closing a sale, ask if there is anyone else on his or her shopping list that may also be into fishing or outdoor recreation. Suggest add-on products for the original sale, such as line or lures. If they say yes, but they still haven’t decided what to get them, suggest a gift card to your store. Don’t let the customer leave without at least offering them more than what they came in for. You know your store better than they do, so be sure they learn about as many product lines that you carry as you can comfortably tell them about.
