Sportfishing Summit 2026 – Charting What’s Next

Understand the angler. Navigate change. Shape the future.

Today’s anglers are changing. Who they are, how they participate, what they buy, and even how they discover fishing are all evolving. These changes are creating new challenges, as well as new opportunities, for our industry.

At the 2026 Sportfishing Summit, powered by the American Sportfishing Association, we’re putting the Modern Angler at the center of the conversation with two interconnected sessions designed to take us from insight to action.

On Wednesday, The Modern Angler: Know Who’s Fishing will dig into the data behind today’s fishing consumer by exploring demographics, participation, spending, economic pressures, and the forces reshaping the marketplace.

Then on Thursday, The Modern Angler: Reaching Who’s Next turns that knowledge into action, exploring new approaches to marketing, partnerships, and technology that can help recruit new anglers, strengthen relationships, and keep them engaged.

First, understand what’s changing. Then, decide what you’re going to do about it.

Join us in Point Clear, Alabama and help chart what’s next for sportfishing.
