Shimano Reel, PowerPro Braid Take Honors at Pitman Creek Dealer Show

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Fishing tackle dealers who attended this week’s annual Pitman Creek Wholesalers show recognized Shimano brands with key awards, as Shimano’s new SLX baitcasting reels took ‘Best of Show’ along with its ‘Best Fishing Reel’ honor, while the new PowerPro Super8Slick V2 braid was named ‘Best Fishing Line.’

Introduced at ICAST 2018, the SLX 150 baitcasting reels “are the one more fish, one more cast, ‘Can’t Stop Fishing’ option for a large segment of bass anglers,” said Steve Riley with Sportco Marketing, Shimano’s sales group who closely works with Pitman-Creek. “And obviously, we think dealers attending the show are pretty sharp selecting the ICAST award-winning PowerPro Super8Slick V2 as the ‘best fishing line,’ just as dealers and media folks did at the 2018 ICAST Show.”
