The new TATULA 150 T-WING BAITCASTING SERIES is designed for specific bass fishing tasks like deep cranking, punching or flipping, pulling vibrating jigs or swimbaits, and frogging. Since its launch this spring, the reel has been in the hard-working hands of Daiwa’s pro staff. Already, Tatula 150 has made the tournament rounds across the country, from Alabama to Wisconsin and Florida to California. Six months into its lifecycle, FTR reached out to some of the Tatula 150’s most frequent users to get real-world feedback on the reel that Daiwa calls Cadillac Smooth.

“The new Tatula 150 is a super durable reel. I use it for casting medium to large swimbaits long distances with heavy line and to handle large fish.” – Ish Monroe

“The Tatula 150 is an awesome reel for long casts and big baits. The wider, deeper spool allows me to cover more water, and the 100mm handle keeps my hand on the reel and helps minimize the torque of larger baits. It’s very light weight for a big reel.” – Randy Howell

“It’s a workhorse. It’s light. It’s got a really big, 100mm handle, which helps a lot if you’re a guy with big hands. When you’re bass fishing, you want that grip. You want that power. The Tatula 150 is perfect for flipping and deep cranking, and it has 5.4:1 to 7.3:1 gear ratios, so you can use it for almost any technique.”— Cody Meyer
