Panfish Are Over The Moon For The VMC® Moon Fly Jig

If you could ask VMC’s new Moon Fly Jig where he got his big 3D holographic eye and feathery skirt, he’d tell you he got it from his momma.
FTR Industry Brief
  • The VMC Moon Fly Jig is a specialized panfish jig designed to attract crappie, bluegill, and other panfish species.
  • This jig combines traditional fly-style attractors with VMC's hook technology to appeal to selective panfish, offering retailers a targeted product for the growing panfish fishing segment.
  • $4.49 to $4.99.

Minnetonka, Minnesota – This new jig takes the absolute best of two top-selling Rapala jigs, the VMC Moontail™ and the Neon Moon Eye, and combines them to create the ultimate panfish slayer.

The aspirin shape of the jig provides added control while giving the illusion of a wider profile, perfect for darting through a school of crappie. This jig is also UV Bright, meaning its finish reflects more light energy, strengthening the lure’s visibility.

With a colorful, feathery skirt that flaunts like a peacock display, panfish will be fighting over who gets the first bite.

The Moon Fly Jig comes in ten flashy colors: Chartreuse, Chartreuse Orange, Fathead, Firetiger, Glow, Glow Chartreuse, and White. Plus, three UV Bright colors: Orange Fire, Pink Fire, and Blue Fire.

The 1/32 oz. Moonfly is built around a size 6 hook and the 1/16 oz. around a size 4 hook.

The manufacturer’s suggested retail price for the Moon Fly Jig is $4.49 to $4.99.
