KeepAmericaFishing™ Urges Passage of Sportsmen’s Heritage & Recreational Enhancement Act

America’s 50 million anglers and hunters are a tremendously powerful constituency, but far too often our impact is not felt in the halls of Congress. Fortunately, efforts are underway to pass Boys Fishinglegislation that addresses many of the top legislative priorities of the recreational fishing and hunting communities. Do your part to support the Sportsmen’s Act and ensure that lawmakers give anglers and hunters the attention we deserve!

On November 21, Rep. Robert Latta (R-Ohio) introduced the Sportsmen’s Heritage and Recreational Enhancement Act of 2013, also known as the SHARE Act, H.R. 3590. This bipartisan package of sportsmen’s bills is supported by the House Sportsmen’s Caucus members Reps. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.), Rob Wittman (R-Va.), Tim Walz (D-Minn.), Dan Benishek (R-Mich.) and Don Young (R-Alaska) and contains eight provisions that are beneficial to recreational anglers and hunters. Please urge your House member to become a co-sponsor of this important bipartisan sportsmen legislation.

Of most importance to you, the angler, are the Hunting, Fishing and Recreational Shooting Act and the Recreational Fishing and Hunting Heritage Act provisions. These two provisions protect traditional tackle and continue to keep public lands open for recreational fishing access.

Please take action and urge your House Member to cosponsor this important piece of legislation today!
