Taking cues from traditional lead core trolling lines, we embarked on a journey to revolutionize weighted trolling braid without using products that are potentially harmful to the environment. Hammer Depth Charge is a fast-sinking braid that is braided in a super smooth 9-carrier braid configuration. Utilizing a proprietary coating process that introduces nano particles of bismuth into the braid, the weight of the line is increased dramatically. The result is a super-fast-sinking braided line with a gravity that is approximately 11-times heavier than water for fast sinking properties getting you down to the fish more quickly.
When compared to traditional Lead Core trolling lines, Hammer Depth Charge is 60% smaller allowing the use of much smaller rods and reels. Smaller, lighter weight tackle puts the fun back into lead core style trolling techniques. Unlike traditional Lead Core lines that kink easily, Hammer Depth Charge passes effortlessly through the rod guides for consistent performance. Color metered every 10-yards to instantly determine how much line is being trolled. There’s no need for special Lead Core knots. With Hammer Depth Charge, you can now tie standard double style braid knots without the need to clip the lead out of the center of the braid. Near Zero stretch – pre-treated UHMWPE fibers reduce the overall stretch to less than 4% at the lines breaking point for immediate hook-ups. High abrasion resistance – Hammer Depth Charge lasts longer and decreases the chance of losing a fish of a lifetime.
