International Custom Rod Building Expo to Host Rod Building Seminar

WINSTON SALEM, NC – The 14th annual International Custom Rod Building Exposition will be held on February 18 & 19, 2017 at the M.C. Benton Convention Center in downtown Winston-Salem, NC.
The “Expo” is the world’s largest international consumer and trade event for the custom rod building craft and industry.  Nearly 50 exhibitors will be displaying, demonstrating and selling product from over 75 booth spaces. Most of the new trends in the fishing rod industry have been introduced at the “Expo” years before finding their way onto commercially made fishing rods. These include “Micro-Guides” in 2005 and “Foam Core, Carbon Fiber” grips in 2006.

Now back for 2017 is a basic seminar on how to build your own custom rod. Attendees will learn the basics of custom rod building including how to select components and assemble a custom fishing rod. The seminar is free with the regular Expo admission fee ($10). Twenty more free seminars will be offered during the exciting two-day event and cover all aspects of custom rod building.

Attendance is expected to reach nearly 3000 people, combined of both custom rod builders and general interest fishermen. The bulk of the companies involved in manufacturing and selling rod blanks and related component parts will be on hand. Rod building component suppliers will be present as well, offering the best deals of the year to attendees.

Admission remains just $10 per person and includes a host of educational seminars on all facets of custom rod building techniques and topics. In addition daily on-floor exhibit hall demonstrations will be taking place both days.

At press time the “Expo” had nearly sold out of exhibitor space and is expected to be the largest edition of the event in history. For more information, please visit the official event website at www.icrbe.com
