South Florida-based Hookup Lures will now be entering the multi species trolling head market with a variety of designs. Styles offered are bullet heads, chug heads, jet heads, slant heads, and round heads in a range of sizes.
When asked, Val Osinski owner of Hookup Lures, noted, “Hookup has a long history of jigs and bucktails and we wanted to expand that into the trolling head market with a premium product that gives shops a lot of options for customization.”
Trolling heads are used in a variety of offshore fishing from Mahi to Marlin. The Hookup trolling heads will be available as just heads for those shops and anglers who prefer to rig their own or pre-rigged with a squid body.
“You really don’t see these in shops like this right now – I spend half the year in the Florida Keys where we do a ton of trolling and you just can’t buy heads like this rigged or unrigged directly on the consumer end,” Osinski said.
