Morehead City, North Carolina — Outdoor retailers from across the United States voted on the best new hunting, fishing, camping and marine products at the 2023 Big Rock Sports Outdoor Expo in Nashville, TN. Retail Customers of Big Rock Sports and Calcutta Outdoors got a firsthand look at the newest products in the outdoor sporting market. This event is unique in that it gives outdoor sporting retailers, the people who know the products the best, an opportunity to vote and voice opinions on new outdoor products.
156 products across 16 categories were on the New Product Showcase ballot, and Calcutta Outdoors’ GOT-CHA PRO Shrimp won Best New Saltwater Lure of 2023. The GOT-CHA brand was started in Wilmington, North Carolina in 1957 and GOT-CHA lures are famous for producing a deadly swimming action for any fish that feed on smaller bait fish. “Many of our customers at the Big Rock Sports Outdoor Expo expressed their excitement about the new GOT-CHA PRO Shrimp Lures,” said Chris Pardue, Senior Director of Innovation and Product Management for Calcutta Outdoors, “and we were very happy Best Saltwater Lure category. The GOT-CHA plug is an exceedingly popular lure for beach and pier fishing; however, the new GOT-CHA PRO Shrimp took the prize this year. The GOT-CHA PRO Lifelike Rigged Shrimp are perfect for snook, trout, striped bass, or redfish. These lures are excellent when fished with a popping cork if fishing free lined. However, you can also tie the lure directly to the leader. This works best with topwater and jigging retrieves. The lifelike soft plastic shrimp are available in four colors and 1/4oz size to 3/0 jig heads.
