FTR Signs as Official Media Partner for RBFF State Marketing Workshop

BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. — Fishing Tackle Retailer, the business magazine of the sportfishing industry, is proud to announce a new partnership with the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation’s State Marketing Workshop presented by Fishbrain. The workshop—held virtually this year from February 23 to February 25—brings together state fish and wildlife agencies, the Association of Fish & Wildlife Agencies, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service as well as other NGOs and federal agencies to learn more about the importance of customer engagement, recruitment, retention and reactivation.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, recreational fishing has enjoyed a silver lining of increased angler and boater participation. Last year, official figures pointed to higher numbers of anglers than ever before. The RBFF State Marketing Workshop offers three full days of webinars and breakout sessions that dig into the nuts and bolts of those numbers: were these new anglers or inactive anglers returning from hiatus? How do you retain them as customers? Where do we, as an industry, go from here?

The event kicks off on Tuesday, February 23 at 12:00 ET with a workshop overview from Convince and Convert founder Jay Baer, before diving into a cornucopia of topics like geofencing community lakes, successfully targeting anglers of color, and insights from state agencies. Registration is currently open to tackle dealers online and takes less than 10 minutes.
