Fishing Tackle Retailer Adds to its Stellar Team

Fishing Tackle Retailer is proud to announce two new team members in the sales department – Tammy Foshee and Melissa Allen.

Tammy Foshee comes to FTR from Big Bite Baits where she was President and one of the company’s founders. With her executive background in leading a fishing tackle manufacturing company, Tammy Foshee brings deep industry knowledge to her new role.

As president of Big Bite Baits, she held responsibility for managing multiple facets of the company, including operations, marketing, and sales strategies. Her experience on the manufacturing side gives her an in-depth understanding of the specific needs, challenges, and opportunities that sportfishing and marine manufacturers face. Before her tenure at Big Bite Baits, Tammy worked in B2B Sales for Regions Bank, where she held the position of Relationship Manager for National Corporate Banking before being promoted to VP and Portfolio Manager. Her comprehensive experience in sales, corporate banking, and management equips her well to engage with existing and new advertisers across FTR media platforms, creating lasting and fruitful partnerships within the fishing tackle industry.

“I’m excited to start a new chapter and extend my career within the fishing industry that I love so much,” Foshee said. “The best people in the world work in the fishing business and I look forward to meeting more of them in this role.”

Adding to our sales team, we are thrilled to introduce Melissa Allen, who joins us from the real estate sector, where she achieved remarkable success owning and brokering two different real estate firms in separate states.

Melissa’s experience as a business owner in the competitive real estate industry has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of small business needs, budgeting dynamics, and the importance of effective marketing. Her role as a real estate broker has provided her with invaluable insights into the operational challenges faced by small businesses, making her adept at identifying and addressing their specific needs. Furthermore, Melissa’s early days as an Army wife, during which she successfully launched and operated her own childcare business, undeniably provided her with a unique entrepreneurial mindset and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by small businesses. With this diverse background, Melissa is well-positioned to offer expert guidance and strategic advice to our partners and advertisers, ensuring their marketing budget is optimized to yield maximum impact across our media platforms

“I grew up fishing with my dad and taught my sons to fish, so I’m thrilled to be joining the team,” said Allen. “I’m very excited about meeting many of the loyal FTR advertisers and hopefully convincing new partners to join us. One thing I know for sure from the real estate world is that a good product is easy to sell and FTR is a great product.”

Foshee and Allen will join veteran Trade Media Advisor, Trisha Schulz at ICAST to meet with clients and evangelize for Fishing Tackle Retailer media.
