Piranhas, cocaine and peacock bass.
In what seems like something closer to The A-Team than a typical fishing trip, Costa has chronicled a fly-fishing expedition from the United States deep into the jungles of South America. The sunglass company’s first webisode of their new Geobass adventure follows four North American fishermen—and lunatics—on a hunt for world-record Peacock Bass.
Trust us, it’s not for the faint of heart. Columbia’s reputation as one of the most dangerous countries on the planet holds true to the mark as the team of Costa-sponsored fishermen trek through swarms of insects, venomous reptiles, and whitewater to reach the perfect Peacock honey-hole. There’s just one problem—that honey-hole is surrounded by a drug cartel.
It’s worth your time to take a look and watch this incredible adventure unfold. Heads up, we’re giving this video a PG-13 rating.
The Costa Geobass series is expected to release more video from Central and South America as the adventure unfolds. For a complete breakdown, head over to the Geobass website, here.
