WEST LINN, Oregon— A celebration of life has been announced to honor Vaunt Marketing partner Carmen MacDonald. MacDonald passed away on February, 5. He was 46 years old.
MacDonald was a lifelong angler, a former guide and a passionate outdoorsman. Friends say he knew the Willamette River like no one else. His sudden passing was a shock to the fishing industry.
In the last few days I have heard so many heartwarming personal stories about Carmen,” says Vaunt Marketing Principal Kris Nelson. “It seems everyone has a special story to tell. If you would like to share your thoughts, stories, prayers, photos or fondest memories of Carmen, bring them to the service or email them to me. [kris@vauntmarketing.com]
“Vaunt Marketing will have a place for you to drop your writings and photos. We will create a beautiful book from all the pieces. This will provide a wonderful memory book for his children and family to look back upon and reflect on what a great person he was.”
The MacDonald family has created a GoFundMe account as a scholarship fund for his children, ages 13 and 15.
MacDonald’s celebration of life will be held on Monday, February 13 at 7:00 p.m. at Athey Creek Christian Fellowship in West Linn, Oregon.
Efforts are ongoing to name MacDonald’s favorite Willamette River fishing spot “Carmen’s Point,” in his memory.
