In a few short weeks, the fly fishing industry will be back together at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah to celebrate the return of the International Fly Tackle Dealer Show (IFTD). IFTD is the only fly fishing specific business to business trade show that provides for networking opportunities between manufacturers and retailers. It is also where fly fishing media outlets get a glimpse of the latest and greatest products coming out for the year.
IFTD 2022 will have all the events seen at past shows including new opportunities for the industry to connect. New this year will be a Dealer Summit on Tuesday, March 29th before the show opens to give dealers education and the forum to discuss ways to improve their business looking forward. As always, the State of the Industry Breakfast, educational seminars throughout the week, Iron Fly tying competition, and the New Product Showcase are important to everyone who attends plus the Party on the Pond where the Best of Show awards will be handed out.
“I have been working towards this show since I took the Executive Director position last June,” said Lucas Bissett. “We have been planning and strategizing to make sure we put together a show that brings us all back together and provides as many business opportunities as possible for our exhibitors and attendees. I am confident that IFTD 2022 will facilitate those needs and bring our industry together when we need it more than ever,” Bissett continued.
The American Fly Fishing Trade Association is the sole trade organization in fly fishing representing manufacturers, retailers, guides and outfitters, media, and associate organizations in all 50 states.
