New to 2022, both the spinning and casting lines of Abu Garcia Revo reels have undergone a complete redesign consisting of a new look and upgraded components.
New for the Revo spinning models, this lineup features an asymmetric, aluminum one-piece frame that makes for a more compact reel design. While remaining extremely rigid, these models are still very lightweight. Installed with the new AMG2 gear system that is 17% larger than the previous Revo generation, it provides this lineup with improved gear strength and a wider range of gear ratio options.
In tandem with the new Revo spinning series, the new Revo low-profile casting lineup also features an asymmetric body design allowing the use of a larger spool. For this line of reels, the larger spool helps increase castability without increasing the size of reel’s total profile. This series also features both the Carbon-Matrix drag system, featured in the Revo X model, and the Powerstack drag system, which is featured in the Revo STX, Winch and Rocket models. This proves effective as these reels can deliver up to 25-pounds of big fish stopper power.
