SteelShad Fishing Co. Joins Amazon Small Biz Spotlight

EAST DORSET, VT., — The SteelShad Fishing Company is proud to announce that it has been chosen as one of seven companies nationwide to join Amazon’s “Small Business Spotlight” campaign.  Through “Small Business Spotlight,” Amazon will work with small businesses to accelerate their growth and work to achieve the goal of one million dollars in incremental sales over six months. The purpose is to showcase how small businesses can rapidly scale their business on Amazon to reach customers in their neighborhood and around the world.

Amazon will work with each small business to harness the innovative and unique services designed to help them grow, including:

  • Amazon’s world-class fulfillment and customer service through Fulfillment by Amazon
  • A Loan from Amazon Lending to help expand their inventory
  • Sponsored Product credits to assist in advertising their products and building their brand on the first page of search results or product detail pages
  • Placement on Amazon’s deal pages that draw millions of customer visits daily

On Amazon, small businesses now account for over half of the unit sales on Amazon sites around the world, and 2017 is off to a record-start with more than two billion items already sold by small businesses.

The SteelShad Fishing Company is proud to be one of those small businesses. Last year, three best friends partnered together with Captain Steve Niemoeller to launch the SteelShad Fishing Company nationwide.  The SteelShad fishing lure was designed and perfected by Anglers and Guides whom are on the water every day.  Captain Steve, a full-time fishing guide in Florida, says, “Once you catch your first trophy fish on a SteelShad, it’s hard to go back to other baits.”  SteelShad makes fishing simple, easy and fun.
