TORONTO— Gill North America, this week, announced the retirement of long-time Marketing Manager Gary Barker. The announcement came in a letter to dealers, where Barker’s role will transition to recent hire Lydia Kerr.

We are pleased to update you on the following organizational changes at Gill NA in the marketing department.
Gary Barker who has been our North American Marketing Manager for the past 18 years is retiring today! Gary has done an excellent job supporting the Gill brand in North America and servicing our dealers needs. Today we thank him deeply and congratulate him on a job well done! Its been a lot of fun working together with Gary building the Gill brand in North America over the years.
With Gary’s retirement in sight, we hired Lydia Kerr on at the beginning of September as our new Marketing Communications Manager. Lydia has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications and Public Relations from Samford University. She grew up dinghy sailing on the North Carolina coast, spent a semester abroad on a schooner in the Caribbean in college, and is excited to join the business side of the industry. Lydia and her husband just moved to the Atlanta area where she is based in our home office and now fully up to speed. Please direct all future Gill NA marketing needs Lydia’s way.
