C-MAP Releases Florida Trophy Lakes Charts

Industry News| Views: 1107

C-MAP, a leader in digital marine cartography and cloud-based mapping, announced today the release of the new Florida Trophy Lakes Chart card. Targeted towards Florida boaters interested in previously uncharted lakes, the new chart card offers digital contour maps of small- to medium-sized lakes popular with trophy fish anglers. All maps on the card are compatible with C-MAP Genesis Custom Color Depth Shading allowing users to set two separate custom-color depth palettes for every map and select from 16 colors to highlight as many as 10 customized depth ranges.

“It’s no secret there are big freshwater fish in Florida, but not all are in the biggest lakes,” said Matt Johnson, C-MAP Product Manager. “While everyone knows about the potential of Lake Okeechobee and the St. Johns River chain, the names of small to medium lakes that contain trophy fish are often held more closely to the vest and digital contour maps of those lakes, prior to now, were often either sub-par or simply non-existent. All of that will change with our latest release.”
