ALDA, Neb. – Bullet Weights and its president, Joe Crumrine, were honored with two awards from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve program.
Joe Cook, ESGR area chair and volunteer, presented the company with the Seven Seals Award on July 5 at the company’s Alda headquarters, and presented Crumrine with a Patriot Award. Both awards are given to employers for outstanding support of their employees in the National Guard and Reserve.
“We’re proud to receive these awards, and proud to know that our employees believe we’re deserving of them,” Crumrine said. “We strongly believe in supporting our military and veterans, and it’s an honor to assist our employees in their training.”
Crumrine and the company were nominated for awards by employee Sgt. Melissa Rudloff, who serves in the Nebraska Army National Guard Reserve Component. Rudloff wrote in a two-page nomination letter that Crumrine has been extremely supportive of her military service, and has encouraged her to seek additional military training when possible. Rudloff also wrote that Bullet Weights supports many other veterans’ organizations.
“The Patriot Award and the Seven Seals Award were created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals and companies who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees, who like the citizen warriors before them have answered their nation’s call to serve,” Cook said. “Supportive supervisors are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nation’s Guard and Reserve units, and it’s a pleasure for me to recognize Joe Crumrine with these awards.”
